Shootout rankings are based on point averages.
  •  You play one set with each player on your court.
  •  Regular scoring - each game is worth one point.
  •  If the set score reaches 5 all, play a regular 7 point  tiebreaker. Winners score 6, losers 5.
  •  Scores are adjusted 'for difficulty' before ranking.
     Upper courts (most difficult)
are recorded at 100% of value.
Scores from less difficult courts are adjusted to 90% of value (blue scores).

You begin play with 6 scores equal to your seed average
You replace them one at a time with new scores.
You move up or down in the rankings according to your
     new average.

Since Shootout is 'DROP-IN', we don't always have the right number of players show up, but no player is asked to sit more than once during a season. Anyone asked to sit gets credit for a time played and a score equal to their average at the time. We fill courts from the top down, so the higher your ranking, the less chance of sitting out. Standbys and alternates are the first ones chosen to sit...no fee. Alternates are not included in the rankings nor eligible for prizes.
    E
veryone must bring a new can of balls.
The player with the lowest score on each court furnishes the balls.

You must play 9 times to qualify for the prizes.

Each time you play
7 matches,
a low score is tossed out.

  Those with the
highest averages
in their age group win prizes.

We assign courts at
